It is found only in Spain. Its natural habitat is rivers. It is threatened by habitat loss. == Description == Elongated body with relatively small head and mouth situated on the bottom. Usually not exceed 300 mm total length. The bottom lip is thick and has a curved-shaped lamina cornea, unlike the Iberian Nase whose lamina cornea is straight. Caudal peduncle long and narrow. The fins are long, the dorsal one has 8 branched rays and anal one 8 to 10. The scales are large and 44 to 45. The number of pharyngeal teeth more frequent is 6-5 and rarely 6-6.
